This study looked in detail at the parental experience of having a child sustain traumatic brain injury (TBI); beginning with the child sustaining the injury, through the acute and chronic stages of rehabilitation, to the child???s return home. Mother and father dyads were interviewed in their own homes using a semi-structured interview schedule. A narrative analysis highlighted important findings through the identification and construction of
several plots and subplots within parent narratives. These include that parents themselves appear to undergo trauma as a consequence of their child sustaining TBI; that parents made - and wanted to make - a major contribution throughout their child???s rehabilitation, and that all parents went - and are continuing to go - through a number of transitions in this process.

A fully connected qubit network is considered, where every qubit interacts with every other one. When the interactions between the qubits are homogeneous, the system is a special case of the finite Lipkin???Meshkov???Glick (LMG) model. We propose a natural implementation of this model using superconducting qubits in state-of-the-art circuit QED. The ground state, the low-lying energy spectrum and the dynamical evolution are investigated. We find that, under realistic conditions, highly entangled states of Greenberger???Horne???Zeilinger (GHZ) and W types can be generated. We also comment on the influence of disorder on the system and discuss the possibility of simulating complex quantum systems, such as Sherrington???Kirkpatrick (SK) spin glasses, with superconducting qubit networks.

Massive star formation takes place in the dense cores of molecular clouds where the
stars may be obscured at optical wavelengths. An excellent signpost of a massive
young stellar object is the presence of an ultra-compact HII region (UCHii), which
is a dense photo-ionised cocoon of gas surrounding the newly formed star. The aim
of this project is to develop an assembly of numerical tools, caravela, that can simulate
realistic data streams representing high-mass star forming regions in our Galaxy.
The synthetic output consists in images and photometric point source catalogues,
in the IRAS and Herschel wavebands. In an era when large observational surveys

Neutral hydrogen (H I) is a magnificent tool when studying the structure of the interstellar medium (ISM) as it is relatively easily observable and can be mapped at good spatial and velocity resolution with modern instruments. Moreover, it traces the cool (~ 100 K) and warm (~ 5000 K) neutral gas which together make up about 60%, or the bulk, of the ISM. The currently accepted picture is that stellar winds and subsequent supernovae are the origin for the clearly defined holes or bubbles within the more or less smooth neutral medium. The H I can therefore serve indirectly as a tracer of the hot interstellar medium (HIM)left behind after the most massive stars within an OB association have gone off as supernovae. A splendid example is the dwarf galaxy IC 2574 for which we discuss H I, optical and X-ray observations.
